Abstract:The reasonable cutter arrangement of turning center can promote the productivity of such kind of multi-process course. To solve the issue, the connection between the process and the cutter location on the turret post coupled with the corresponding constraints was analyzed. A global optimization model of cutters arrangement was put forward to produce a batch of parts with multi-process. Furthermore, an improved approach, tribe-hybridization genetic algorithm has been studied to figure out the optimization model. The approach could quicken the convergence of the algorithm and simultaneously avoid the local optimization resulting by intermarriage. Finally, the practical result showed that the improved GA approach could efficiently solve the optimization of the cutters arrangement on the turret post of turning center.
