A mathematical model of tractor-semitrailer combination when braking was established. The dynamic load transfer caused by deceleration under braking condition was analyzed. Meanwhile, the simulation was carried out using Matlab/Simulink. By the comparison between experimental test data and simulation results, the effect of load transfer on the order of wheel lockup was verified, and the influence of ABS layout scheme on braking performance was analyzed.
