Abstract: On the basis of mechanical indexes of cooked rice grain, the taste quality of brown rice was evaluated by principal component analysis method. The main mechanical indexes of 7 varieties of cooked rice grain were determined from the specimen correlation matrix. According to more than 80.8% of the cumulative variance proportion, the two principal components were established for reflecting the taste quality of brown rice. Finally, the principal component values of varieties were obtained and the taste quality was analyzed. The results are similar to practical phenotypes, and it shows that the method of principal component analysis is more exact and feasible by the mechanical indexes of cooked rice grain.

Abstract: The forced-air precooling experiments of apples were carried out to study the influences of temperature, relative humidity and velocity of the cold air, and the void ratio of apples on the precooling process. The results show that the optimum operation velocity for the apples cooling is 1.5 m/s. Well cooling effect of apples can be obtained with low temperature (4C, no chilling injury) and high humidity air (80% RH above) in air circulation. The void ratio of apples has little influence on the precooling time when the air velocity is greater than 1.5 m/s, and the increase of the void ratio will significantly reduce the precooling time when the air velocity is less than 0.75 m/s.

Abstract: To extract the soluble dietary fibre from oat bran, the effects of different pretreatment methods, the ratio of raw material to extraction solvent, temperature and the time on the yield of soluble dietary fibre, were studied respectively. The optimum extraction process was determined using the single factor and orthogonal experiments. The experimental results show that the optimum extraction process is as follows: when the extraction temperature 65C and pH 6.5, entering 偽-starch enzyme into the solvent with the ratio of extraction solvent to raw material 9 mL; then changing pH to 9.0 for extraction of 2 hours; isoelectric precipitating the protein, and precipitating the water-soluble dietary fibre with ethanol for 9 hours. Under this optimum extraction process, the yield and purity of soluble dietary fibre are 12.40% and 78.56% respectively.

Abstract: The foreign matters of raw cotton seriously affect the cotton grade and the quality of the final woven product. Detecting and eliminating of the foreign materials from raw cotton is difficult during the spinning operations. Many researchers have applied different techniques to identify various contaminations of raw cotton based on their characteristics of geometry, physics and spectroscopy. These techniques are machine vision at visible light wave, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray micro-tomographic image, and so on. Different kinds of sorter have been developed since the 1950s. For improving the detection accuracy of different foreign matters in complicated condition, the techniques of real-time infrared spectroscopy, multispectral and hyperspectral imaging will be
adopted gradually.

Abstract:In order to advance automated guided vehicle(AGV) control, a variable structure AGV control method based on genetic algorithm(GA) was proposed. Parameters, which were determined
previously in the conventional reaching law, were regulated adaptively by GA. It is shown that all advantages of conventional reaching law are retained, meanwhile the control features of the control system are improved effectively. System can move perfectly on the sliding-mode surface. Theoretic analysis and experiment results prove the validity of the method.

Abstract: When the four conventional edge detection methods such as the Sobel are applied to detect the multiple-structure edges of the Long Wing Laodelphax Striatellus (Fallen) image including the wing and the claw, it will be influenced by the pixels noise and the edge will not be clear. Also the morphology of erode single element edge detection method are adopted and the result is not ideal, as the breakpoints is 10 and the minimum loss rate of the pixels is 0.689%. In order to improve the ability for detecting the edge, the image was divided into several areas due to the multi-edges so that the edge detection in every area was simplified. Subsequently, the erode with dilate edge detecting operators was constructed, which could be used to detect the different edges in every areas. The results indicate that the multi-areas combined with morphology multi-structures method for detecting the Long Wing Laodelphax Striatellus (Fallen) edge is better, and the breakpoints is 3 and the minimum loss rate of the pixels is 0.554%.

Abstract: The recognition of the stored-grain pests is a multi-feature and multi-compound degree classification of various pests. It is very important to determine the objective weights of features automatically in the classification of the stored-grain pests based on extension theory. The self-adapting assessment function of the number of the clustering, clustering analysis using the FCM, and discrete process of the real features based on the maximum degree of membership were put forward. Subsequently, the degree of the importance for attributes from rough sets theory was introduced and the objective weights of features for the stored-grain pests were determined automatically. Finally, the familiar nine categories of the stored-grain pests in grain-depot were recognized by a classifier based on the extension decision theory. The results show that the correct identification ratio is 93% and the rough sets weights application in the extension classification of the stored-grain pests is feasible.

Abstract: Shape classification is an important step to pearl classification. After a series of preprocessing, the pearl image obtained by computer vision was transformed to the polar coordinates, and then eight F(h) (Fourier coefficient) values was computed as each kind of typical shape characteristic parameters. Subsequently the utilization of fuzzy pattern recognition method realized the shape effective distinction of each pearl image. Finally, the pearl shape distinction classification was realized by seeking and comparison of characteristics image through multi-angles of view. The experimental results indicate that the largest error judgments rate of the proposed distinction method is 33.3%.

Abstract:An original 4-PTT parallel mechanism with three-dimensional translations and rotational motion about Z axis was presented. Its positional inverse expressions were established using the conversion of coordinates and projection in analytic geometry, and the method of the forward solution of the mechanism and corresponding numerical examples were given. Subsequently, the workspace of standing pose was analyzed by programming with Matlab and LabVIEW. The analytical results indicate that the workspace of the 4-PTT parallel mechanism has advantages of smooth boundary, big volume, no cavity and regular cross section in the fields of industrial robots, micromanipulators, virtual axis machine tools, damping platform, rehabilitation robot and etc.

Abstract: In order to solve the problems for path planning in concave obstacle environment, an double ant colony algorithm was completed using computer simulation technology. Combining the thought of MAX-MIN ant colony algorithm and adding new type heuristic gene based on distance change, we founded a complete cross double ant colony algorithm and applied it to robot path planning. Even when there are lots of concave obstacles in the robot environment, the algorithm still can get a high quality path and is suitable for robot path planning. The simulation results show that the best path rate obtained by the double ant colony algorithm is 98%.

Abstract:Multi-contour processing empty run optimization was regarded as generalized salesman problem. A novel algorithm based on ant colony system optimization and nearest neighbor rule was
proposed. Ant colony algorithm was applied to a selected cutting path arbitrarily, an optimal contour sequence was found, with nearest neighbor rule, nodes on each adjacent contour were obtained to construct a cutting path. A new cutting path was built with ant colony optimization algorithm and nearest neighbor rule based on this constructed path. An optimal cutting path was constructed through several iterations in this way. A multi-contour processing instance was given and the results of it indicated a reasonable cutting path could be gained with this algorithm effectively. With single factor analysis and uniform design, the method of how to select optimization parameters was given.

Abstract: With the aim to insure the better linear degree of electro-pneumatic proportional valve and raise the response speed of its speed on-off valves, a doubled-voltage control mode with high voltage driving and low voltage PWM was proposed. In the mode, the high voltage (24 V) could shorten the open time, and the low voltage PWM (6 V) could reduce the power loss and shorten the closing time according to the pulse width controlled by PID. An electro-pneumatic proportional pressure valve controlled by a MCU ATmega8L was designed based on the mode. The tested results show that, using the mode of high voltage driving and low voltage PWM, the open time of the high speed on-off valve is reduced to 0.8 ms, the turnoff time is 0.3 ms, and the total power consumption is 2.18 W.

Abstract: By studying the performance principle of the hydraulic bumper, the overall characteristic model and the dynamic buffering process model of hydraulic bumper were built based on speciality
analysis of its thin wall-orifice flow and spherical surface-slit flow. Then the curve of buffering force and piston distance, which expresses bumper characteristic, was obtained by simulation. The
results show that the static characteristic of the hydraulic bumper is only determined by the first characteristic of thin wall-orifice and the second characteristic of spherical surface-slit, and the dynamic characteristic is mainly related to the magnitude of shocking and the compressibility of oil.

Abstract: Considering the requirement of high performance of induction motor servo drive system, a sliding mode controller of induction motor drive system was developed based on fuzzy neural network. As the control system was in a state of hyper-plane sliding, the index of sliding mode control fluttering was investigated and input into the learning algorithm. Subsequently, the output of fuzzy neural network would be adjusted to reduce the fluttering. The analysis and the proposed method were verified by simulation and experiment. The results show that the simulation results agree well with the test results, the fluttering is reduced evidently, and the design of the sliding mode controller is rational.

Abstract: The vibration of beam structures has an important impact on the application of engineering. Taking the bending vibration of the beam element as a case and embarking upon the control differential equations of it, this paper deduced the analysis formulas of the bending vibration of the beam element by boundary element method (BEM), proposed local-interval-step-thinning frequency scanning method, completed the BEM dynamic analysis program of the beam element by Matlab software, and eventually provided the corresponding examples of dynamic analysis of the beam element. The results indicate that BEM is convenient for dynamic analysis of beam structures. Compared with the conventional scanning method, the local-interval-step-thinning frequency scanning method has higher efficiency and accuracy.

Abstract: Based on time radiation modes, using the first several acoustic radiation adjoint coefficients to minimize the acoustic power from vibrating structure, is a new strategy in active control. State space equations from the structure vibration system with disturbing forces and controlling forces were presented. Using several point force actuators as control sources, the control model based on time adjoint coefficients was built via H infinity control theory. Taking a baffled rectangular plate as an example, the model was studied using one and two controlling forces respectively, and the effect of active control was discussed. Finally, the simulation results indicate that the acoustic power decreases obviously via H infinity control strategy, which effectively make the active control strategy based on radiation modes come true. Besides, the radiated power decreases more with more controlling forces, and it is demonstrated that using M controlling forces can counteract the first M radiated power.

Abstract: Several timefrequency representations including time varying autoregressive model (TVAR), short time Fourier transform (STFT), WignerVille distribution (WVD), ChoiWilliams distribution (CWD), continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and HilbertHuang transform (HHT) were compared to the respect of their achievable time and frequency resolution, cross-term suppression and computational load. Those methods were taken to analyze an AMFM signal simulating the vibration of a running-up rotor. Comparing the results, it could be concluded that TVAR with the best comprehensive performance to such kind of signal. Consequently, TVAR was applied to process a real running-up vibration signal of a rotor with STFT as a benchmark. The result showes TVAR has potential to process nonstationary signals with superior feature extraction ability, and is fairly noise insensitive. In conclusion, TVAR provides a superior approach for timefrequency analysis and fault diagnosis of rotation machine under nonstationary conditions.

Abstract: Pass-by noise signal is nonstationary and time variant. It is difficult to identify sound sources accurately by the traditional FFT method. A noise sources identification technique was developed by the Morlet wavelet transforms (MWT). Applying the method to view the correlation between the standard measuring point noise and near field noises of the engine compartment, we obtained the cross wavelet transform and wavelet coherence for examining relationships in time frequency space between two time series. The contrast between MWT and FFT methods demonstrates that the MWT method can better identify noise correlation under the condition of low
signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) levels and short time spans.

Abstract: Aimed at the requirement of quick and accurate dynamic weighing, combining the characteristic of digital filter about wavelet, applying fast Mallat decomposing and constructing algorithm, a new signal processing method of dynamic weighing by discrete wavelet transform was discussed. The results of quantitative feeding dynamic weighing show that the stable time of the constructed low frequency parts is 0.128 s after wavelet decomposing wiped off high frequency parts. The error of signal construction is -1.5%-2%. The signal processing of dynamic weighing by wavelet transform can reflect the actual weight of material more quickly and more exactly than that by the Fourier transform.

Abstract: Spray characteristics of biodiesel were investigated by using phase Doppler particle analyzer (PDPA) at different injection pressures, pump speeds and orifice diameters. Meanwhile, several high-speed digital pictures of spray for biodiesel and 0 type diesel were taken respectively. The experimental results show that Sauter mean diameter (SMD) of biodiesel spraying droplets decreases as the injection pressure increases and the orifice diameter diminishes, which is similar to petrochemical diesel. However, SMD of biodiesel spraying droplets changes slowly at different pump speeds.

Abstract: Aimed at the roundness evaluation, a regression analysis method evaluating the shape accuracy of the wrapped bearings was proposed. The analysis shows that the main influence parameters on the shape accuracy are thickness of powder and model clearance. Finally, the comparison test was carried out by a concrete example. The simulated results of the roundness are about consistent with the actual measurements and their discrepancy is only 0.025-0.057 mm.

Abstract: MTBE will pollute the groundwater, and it is urgent to find its alternatives. Dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and diisopropyl ether (DIPE) were selected as gasoline antiknocks, which added to 93 gasoline by 3% and 6% volume fraction respectively, and then their antiknock characteristics were studied by experiment. The effects of different volume fraction DMC and DIPE on gasoline engine fuel economy, combustion and emissions characteristics were obtained by measuring cylinder pressure, fuel consumption and emissions data through engine test-bed. The results show that DMC and DIPE lead to fuel consumption increasing 0.85% and 1.6% respectively at 3% volume fraction, and 3.7% and 1.3% respectively at 6% volume fraction. The peak value of cylinder pressure drop is decreased and the largest release heat point is postponed, especially at low loads. The HC emissions are lowered significantly and DMC reduces the Nox emissions.

Abstract: In order to extend the lean operation limit (LOL) of a spark ignition natural gas engine to further decrease its Nox emission, an experimental research was conducted to investigate the effect of hydrogen addition and various engine operating parameters on the LOL. The results show that hydrogen addition can significantly extend LOL and both the increase of engine load and intake air temperature result in greater (leaner) LOL. The effect of engine speed on LOL is not so straightforward. When fueled by pure CNG, LOL becomes greater with the increase of engine speed at low load, but while at high load, LOL drops if engine speed increases. However, when fuelled by hydrogen enrichment compressed natural gas (HCNG), engine speed has no obvious effect on LOL. Also an optimum spark advance to maximize LOL exists for a specific engine operating condition.

Abstract: A new differential steering mechanism adopting hydro-mechanical double power used in tracked vehicle was designed. The new differential steering mechanism is made up of three planetary systems. Combining the power of the derailleur and that of the turning hydraulic system, the mechanism realizes two tracks turning in reverse directions. The experimental results show that it has good heading performance and the yawing rate is 0.7%, which accords with national standard. Quickly turning is achieved while only turning power input. With the increasing of inputting rotate
speed, turning angle velocity is also increased. The neutral turning is realized and the minimum turning radius is 0.02 m as the tracks on both sides have different skids and slips.

Abstract: According to the response characteristics of the load torque to the external input voltage by the eddy current dynamometer, the dynamic matrix for predictive control of the eddy current dynamometer was established. The parameters of the dynamic matrix control (DMC) were tuned by adopting genetic algorithm. Based on the research of the mechanical characteristics of the eddy current dynamometer, the application of the dynamic matrix predictive control method on the eddy current dynamometer was studied subsequently. The simulation results show that the time-consuming of raising the turning torque from zero to 320 Nm is about 800 ms by using the DMC controller based on the genetic algorithm. The efficiency is improved by 60% and the torque error is 10 Nm under stability control.

Abstract: The mathematic models of displacement servo system and hydro-mechanical transmission were built respectively. Each characteristic was analyzed according to bode diagram and step-input response. The results of analysis and test showed that the band width of displacement servo system is small, so it works as low-pass filter and responds slowly, whereas the band width of hydro-transmission is larger, and it responds quickly with over control. The system of hydro-mechanical transmission connected with displacement servo system in series is influenced by displacement servo system, so its band width becomes smaller and damp becomes larger, which results in slower response speed and improved stability.

Abstract: A precise analytic expression of self-aligning torque from vehicle kingpin inclination was given. The relation equation of front axle elevation with steered wheel angle, kingpin inclination, caster and caster offset at wheel center was inferred according to spatial geometry. The potential energy increasing of load on front axle was up to power to overcome the self-aligning torque from
kingpin inclination when steered wheel angle was changed. The analytic expression of self-aligning torque with steered wheel angle, kingpin inclination, caster and caster offset at wheel center was got by calculating derivative of potential energy increasing of load on front axle by steered wheel angle. Finally, the elevation of front axle was tested when steered wheel angle was changed on an experimental vehicle. The results show that the testing data agrees well with the theoretical calculation results, and the analytic expression of self-aligning torque from kingpin inclination is correct and reliable.

Abstract: The mathematical model of primary modules of recirculating-ball electric power steering system for bus was built. The simulation model of the EPS system was constructed based on Matlab/Simulink. The control strategy of assist characteristic, which includes proportional and differential control of the torque transducer output signal and the assist motor angular velocity feedback, was purposed subsequently. The damp of EPS system can be changed with the demand, so the steering wheel shimmy is decreased, and the controllability and stability of steering system are both given attention during vehicle running. Adaptive fuzzy PID is adopted as the control strategy of motor current loop. The simulation results demonstrate that the assist characteristic algorithm proposed is effective in improving the dynamic performances of steering system.

Abstract: The vehicle and engine electrical unit in former PHEV (parallel hybrid electrical vehicle) CAN network was integrated into multi-energy management system (MMS), and the number of CAN nodes was changed from three to two. The MMS and ISG (integrated starter generator) controller were linked by CAN bus. PC was also linked to CAN bus by CAN interface card, which could get the real-time parameters of every controller and modify the inner data of them. The monitoring software was developed with LabVIEW 7.0. The experimental results show that the monitoring platform has the functions of real-time parameters displaying, command giving, ISG test, data saving and interactive good human-computer interface. Every hybrid function and operating mode was successfully realized. The adjustment of control strategy, optimization of parameters, and analysis of experiment data were well done.

Abstract: Five different wall functions were used to simulate the intake manifold of muti-cylinder gasoline engine by CFD method, and the uniformity of intake mass was analyzed. The computed and analyzed results show that the two layer models wall functions are more accurate than the standard wall function; the non-equilibrium wall function is not suitable for the analysis of uniformity of intake mass because of its worst calculation precision; among the three two-layer models wall functions (Wolfstein model, Norris and Reynolds model and Hassid and Poreh model), the Hassid and Poreh model has the maximum mean intake mass and the smallest no-uniformity.

Abstract: Based on the principle of vibrational air-suction, seeds will be 'boiling' state in the vibrational air-suction tray precision seeding-machine, which can reduce the inner friction force and increase the capacity for sucking seeds motion. According to the granular rejection intention theory, we theoretically studied the seeds movement and calculated out a critical intensity of vibration of the tray precision seeding-machine in which the seeds would be 'boiling' state. The results show that when the rate of seeds sucking is more than 90%, the error between the actual and the critical vibration intention is less than 5%. So the critical condition is right and it can be used to ascertain the operating range of vibration parameters.

Abstract:Aimed at the seeding absence, a precision metering device assembled with automatic compensation seeding system was developed. A monitoring and controlling system was made to detect and compensate the absence seeding. As soon as the seed cell of the main meter is empty, the sensor will send a signal to single-chip-computer and the assistant meter will start to work for compensation at the right time. The results in the laboratory show that the system can work reliably, the compensation rate is more than 91%, the final absent seeding rate is less than 1.3%, and the
placing precision rate of compensative seeds can reach 91.25%.

Abstract: A series wind tunnel experiments were conduced on in typical farmlands around Beijing. The air-born dusts were measured in the fields under different cultivations, tillage managements, cover rates and intersectional angles between wind and the crop rows. The results show that the amount of raising dust increases with the wind velocity by power function; conservation tillage of
one crop a year and two crops a year can reduce wind erosion rate than traditional tillage; the increase of cover rate can reduce the amount, and the more the cover, the better the effect; the amount of raising dust can be changed by the angle between the wind and the crop row, and the amount is highest when zero angle, medium 45 angle, and lowest 90 angle. Finally, some countermeasures such as generalization conservation tillage, hold appropriate stubble and straw in land, were proposed for the wind erosion in typical farmland around Beijing.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the smashing theory of straight blades, crescent blades and bent blades respectively. With the velocity of roller, the machine speed and the depth in the dust as the test factors, and the percent of pass and the power consumption as the test indexes, the experiments were carried out subsequently. The advantages of crescent blades, such as small disturbance, low power consumption and high pass percent were validated by experiment. Finally, the regressive mathematic model of crescent blades smashing performance was established and the optimum parameters were obtained by regressive analysis.

Abstract: By adopting time averaged NS equations and RNG k- model, the impeller-volute coupling characteristics were simulated by using SIMPLEC algorithm. The 3-D turbulent flow in centrifugal pump impellers with and without splitter blades were simulated under the different flow rates. When adding splitter blades, the results show that it can effectively control the reflux and flow separation at the impeller outlet. In comparison with performance prediction and experiment, the maximal error between performance prediction and experiment result is no more than 3% under the design flow rate, while 10% under the off-design flow rates.

An orthogonal array of five factors and four levels was selected to carry out the experiment. The graduations of geometrical parameters which affected working conditions were achieved after the orthogonal experiment, which were diameter of cover plate for outlet, length of beeline sect, length of lead-flow, offset length, length of working area, and pipe length in sequence. Their affects on water distribution, jet range and whiling speed were analyzed respectively. The best geographical parameters of sprinkler typed 10 were summarized. Diameter factors of cover plate for outlet were added to review its actions. The minimum diameter is 5.2 mm, the maximum diameter is 7.2 mm and the best geometrical parameter is 6.2 mm.

Abstract: Forecast of agricultural machinery equipment level is a complicated non-linear system, whose developmental changes have dual treads of continuity and fluctuation. SWGP (sliding windowgenetic programming) algorithm was provided to implement automatic modeling of dynamic forecast function of agricultural machinery equipment level. In the program, sampling data is obtained by sliding window technology and model is founded automatically by GP-improved algorithm, which can overcome the difficulties of model selection in traditional prediction modeling methods. The results of a computation case show that forecasting values from the model agree well with the real values, which explains that employing SWGP modeling can settle problem for the modeling of complex agricultural machinery equipment level forecast system satisfactorily.
