Abstract: A novel method was proposed to improve surface quality of bearing friction pair with nanometer grind technology. Using special nanometer material, mechanical grind and chemical abrasion were implemented at the same time. The grinding mechanism, characteristics of each grinding materials, and processing technology of new method were accounted in detail. With quantity of experiments on different kinds of bearings, measuring and analyzing surface morphology of friction pair, it is found that the chemical grinding method could effectively improve bearing's surface morphology, reduce running vibration and noise, and increase bearing's quality.

Abstract:An experimental study on combustion and emission characteristics in a manifold-injection SI turbocharged HCNG engine with several HCNG blend ratios (0-50%) under a certain condition has been done. The results showed that with the HCNG blend ratio rising, the maximum brake toque timing (MBT) of the HCNG engine decreased and the indicted thermal efficiency increased. The lean operation limit was enlarged by increasing the HCNG blend ratio. The combustion duration and the ignition lag were both reduced with the HCNG blend ratio increasing. At last with raising the HCNG blend ratio, the exhaust NOx and CO raised, and contrarily the exhaust CH4 fell.

Abstract: A sort of portable acquisition system about the dynamic parameter of the cool-starting diesel engine was developed. The data acquisition card was used by the system, which contained with start voltage sensor, start electric current sensor, rotate speed sensor and F/V. The real-time collection could be carried out to start voltage of the storage battery, start electric current of the electromotor, temperature of the electrolyte and rotate speed of the diesel engine by multi-channel, and the signals could also be storied, transacted and displayed at the same time. The system could conveniently compile interface and demarcate program by DASYLab. The test results show that the system is reliable, accurate and has good anti-jamming ability. It can meet the needs of the dynamic data acquisition for the cool-starting diesel engine greatly.

Abstract: On the basis of brief analysis for cylinder pressure physical meaning, mechanism and sketch of electronic control based on cylinder pressure feedback was presented, pressure characteristic variable orienting to control was provided, cylinder pressure feedback has been obtained by means of polynomial fitting. Electronic control system with dual micro-processor based on MPC555 and DSP56F807 was designed, fiber-optical pressure sensor has been introduced to perform dynamic acquisition of cylinder pressure. Primary test on model 4100 diesel engine with high pressure common rail was made, testing result showed an availability of electronic control of common rail diesel engine based on cylinder pressure feedback.

Abstract:The uncertain model of the vehicle including roll and wheel rotation was established. By actively controlling the steering system angle and independently controlling the wheel brake torque, the integrated control design was carried out by using H2/H infinity mixed robust control theory based on LMI method and was compared with H2 control and H infinity control. The simulation results indicated that the H2/H infinity mixed robust control not only had robust stability to the system uncertainty, but also effectively curbed external disturbance and improved the system dynamic performance well.

Abstract: The behavior model that uses traditional finite state machine method often has the bad readability. In addition, it's difficult to expand and cut out the system function. So a new modeling approach based on quantum framework was put forward for embedded system development. The essential features and movement mechanism of quantum framework were introduced firstly. Then taking the heavy truck automated mechanical transmission as an example, developing methods and steps with QF technology for embedded system were introduced. The example study indicated that the application of QF technology in embedded system development could significantly increase the efficiency of design, code readability and maintainability of the system.

Abstract: The actuator and controller of electromechanical brake (EMB) were designed. The simulation model of EMB was built in Matlab/Simulink. The controller of motor adopted three loops control architecture with cascaded force, speed and current control loops, and the design method of controller was given. Computer simulation on three-typical-condition of step input, half cosine input and pulse input has been carried out. The results showed that the brake pressure of EMB could follow the target accurately and the performance of EMB is good. The comparison of hydraulic brake and EMB showed that EMB could regulate brake force more quickly and accurately.

Abstract: Based on multi-body dynamics, a whole car model with rigid-flexible coupling suspension that included the flexibility of lower arms and stabilizer bars was established by using ADAMS/Car software, and the flexibility of elements has been obtained with FEM. The analyses for the accelerations of floor and lower arm, the dynamic deflection of suspension, and the dynamic deformation were carried out. The research result showed that the PSD of vertical acceleration of body and the PSD of vertical acceleration of lower arm reduced by 21.5% and 71.3% respectively, compared with rigid model. In addition, the dynamic load of tire decreased by 21.5%, and the working space of suspension increased form 15% to 20%. The research result also showed that the difference between rigid body model and rigid-flexible coupling model rose with velocity. The analysis demonstrated that the flexibility of suspension components could not be neglected.

Abstract: From engineering point of view, semi-active suspension system can realize whole vehicle attitude control so as to improve driving safety. Based on the synthetically analysis of multi-axle vehicle kinematic characteristics requirements, a kind of whole vehicle attitude control method was put forward according to skyhook damping principle. At the same time, fuzzy logic method was adopted to monitor the ride quality. From the contrast analysis of six-axle vehicle simulation results, whole vehicle roll angle was reduced with the semi-active suspension in lane change and turn brake, the ride quality was also improved in random input experimental simulation.

Abstract: The driving wheel slip ratio calculation by using rear wheel speed as reference speed could lead to a calculation mistake and wrong intervention of traction control system when vehicle was cornering. The term of front wheel reference speed was introduced for calculating driving wheel slip ratio under cornering situation. The extraction method by using the yaw rate signal and the steering wheel angle compensation method by using the front wheel angle signal were introduced for calculating driving wheel slip ratio. Experimental results confirmed the effectiveness of these two algorithms, the former algorithm took 0.8 ms and the latter algorithm took 0.3 ms, and so the latter algorithm has been taken. Wrong intervention disappeared after the modification by the steering wheel angle compensation method.

Abstract:The vibration isolating suspension of the full-float cab in commercial vehicle has been studied based on the frame flexibility. The rigid-flexible multi-body vehicle vibration simulation model including the flex frame was used in simulation with ADAMS and ANSYS software. Furthermore, the ride comfort of full-float cab in a whole commercial vehicle was studied by changing the flexibilities of frame. The results showed that the ride comfort of full-float cab depended on the natural frequency and corresponding vibration mode of the frame, the ride comfort of full-float cab would become terrible if the first natural frequency of frame was less than 10 Hz or lower. It offered a valuable method to the match of the full-float vehicle parameter and the design of frame.

Abstract: A new differential steering mechanism used in tracked vehicle that adopted hydro-mechanical double power has been studied. Calculating method and experimental method of steering power ratio for tracked vehicle of differential steering were presented and the model has been tested. The experiments showed that the new mechanism could realize tracked vehicle turning at random radius, and that no brake power loss when turning at small radius through two tracks rotate in reverse directions. The steering power ratio changed smoothly with inputting rotate speed and turning radius, the ratio is from 1.63 to 2.64 when radius is from 2.38 m to 0.6 m within big radius, the ratio is from 3.09 to 4.78 when radius is from 0.36 m to 0.25 m within small radius. A conclusion can be drawn that the maximum steering power ratio is approach 4.78 when tracked vehicle adopting the steering mechanism because the radius is equal to 0.25 m that approach the minimum radius in pivot steering.

Abstract: A power driven cutting mechanism of ridge-till and no-till corn planter was designed to treat rootstalk during no-till plant corn in the areas of one crop a year. Three rows blades are fitted on the axis for one ridge in this mechanism. Three kinds of spindle-harnesses and three kinds of blade-installations were designed in order to find out a most reasonable form. The soil bin experimentation showed that the mechanism has a good ability to cut corn rootstalks, when the running speed is 0.75 km/h, the rotor speed is 150 r/min and the blade-installation is ZH2. The experimentation for choosing spindle-harnesses showed that the second spindle harness which has better cutting ability and lower power consumption is the best choice.

Abstract: With the improvement of variety and the extension of applying field, the rape planting area increased continuously in recent years. Rape harvesting by hand consumed much time and labor, which resulted in high loss rate of rapeseed and the hard labor intensity. And the existing rape harvesters were mainly refitted from rice-wheat harvester and the working performance was still at a low level. At the end of 2007, the ratio of machine harvest rape area was only 2.6% in China. The structure of model 4LYB12.0 whole-feeding rape combine harvester was introduced. The design proceeding of the key parts including header, threshing and separating unit and cleaning unit were described in detail. Experiments were made in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, which showed that the total loss rate was 5.7%, broken rate 0.3%, and impurity rate 2%.

Abstract:A type of multifunctional combine was designed for the harvesting of root-tuber crops. The overall structural configuration, operating process, technical characteristics, and the structure design of key components were dissertated respectively. The combine was composed by the components including power chassis, stalk guiding device, digging device, stalk clamping and conveying device, fruit picking device, cleaning system, fruit collecting system etc. In order to harvest different kinds of root-tuber crops (peanut, garlic, onion etc.), two exchangeable fruit picking parts (picking roller and wheel cutter device) were employed on the combine. The tested indexes for peanut and garlic were listed as follows: percent of peanut loss 2.3%, percent of embedded peanuts 0.3%, percent of broken peanuts 0.45%, peanut purity 99%, reliability coefficient 96.2%; percent of lost garlic 3.0%, percent of un-harvested garlic 0.50%, percent of broken garlic 1.5%.

Abstract: A tractor electro-hydraulic control system was designed and studied based on the plowing depth system's principle of tractor hydraulic hitch mechanism. An electro-hydraulic proportional valve was used as the master valve in this system. The mathematic model of the tractor electro-hydraulic control system was set up and then the characteristic of load control and position control was analyzed. Finally experimental research was performed. The experimental results showed that transient time of position regulation is 0.65 s, and its static error is 1.5 cm; the adjusting time of draft regulation is 7.5 s; the fluctuating scope is ±1 cm, when the plowing depth is 20 cm in draft and position regulation. This system could meet the challenge of plowing depth control system in formidable natural conditions, and the object of uniform plowing depth and work stability were achieved.

Abstract:Based on the Navier-Stokes equation set and the standard k-ε turbulence model, the numerical simulation of the flow field in axial flow pump was conducted on the platform of commercial software CFX by using SIMPLEC method. The pump performance curves resulted from numerical simulation was verified with the experimental results; and then, the computational distribution of relative velocity and streamline in 90% blade span and the discharge region was compared with the results measured by PIV in the same positions, and they were in a good agreement, which indicated the validity and correctness of the numerical simulation. Furthermore, the flow features and the reasons caused efficiency fall of axial flow pump under different flow rates were analyzed, and the results provided some references to the internal flow analysis and the performance improvement of axial flow pump.

Abstract: Orthogonal experiments were carried out to study the oxygen transfer performance of the dual laterolog aspirating aerator. The work has been focused on the improvement of oxygen-transfer power efficiency with respect to the varying of the aerator's major structural parameters. Effects of single and interaction among them of the four factors on oxygen-transfer power efficiency were investigated respectively. Meanwhile, optimal combination of the four factors on oxygen-transfer power efficiency was presented. It showed an appropriate combination of different factors may improve oxygen-transfer power efficiency effectively. The following summarized the detailed contributions that have been made in the research: (1)Ranking of main structural parameters impacting power efficiency is as follows: the location coefficient, section ratio, nozzle angle and throat-pipe aspect ratio. (2)Optimized structural parameters that were found in the research are the location coefficient R=0; section ratio m=4; nozzle angle a=30°; pipe aspect ratio β=10. (3)There is significantly interactive effect between location coefficient and section ratio.

Abstract: In order to manage farm machinery work system scientifically, the principles of ergonomics and a fatigue comprehensive evaluation method by heart rate and work time were proposed, and it was used for evaluating and analysis the tractor driver's fatigue in sowing work. The result showed that driving imported large power tractor in sowing work, the heart rate increase ratio is fairly low, and workload lies in light level, maximum acceptable work time (tmax) is between 14.2 h and 15.6 h, fatigue comprehensive assessment value f is between 1.21 and 1.48. While driving domestic Dongfanghong-1002-tractor, heart rate increase ratio is rather high, workload lies in normal level, tmax is 12.8 h, and f is 1.79. In real operation, the working time of the driver is longer than maximum work time.

Abstract: The effect of different aeration conditions on fermentation product composition and correlative enzymes activities were investigated, the results indicated that the lactate production and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) activity were both increased as the medium volumes increased from 10% to 30%, but the alcohol concentration and alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) activity were both decreased. The maximum production of lactic acid and LDH activity was achieved in cultures shaken at 220 r/min while 160 r/min shaking speed resulted in a higher alcohol concentration and ADH activity. The lactic acid concentration and the activity of LDH were 67.5 g/L and 5.83 U/mL, respectively, which increased by 64.4% and 49.9% respectively by single film fermentation. The ethanol concentration and the activity of ADH increased by 30.0% and 25.5% respectively, by dual film sealed fermentation compared with single film fermentation.

Abstract: With consideration of several different factors of loading direction, the moisture content and loading type and so on, the mechanical properties of Ginkgo seed nucleus were studied by way of compression test. The crushing forces of Ginkgo seed nucleus were different in each orientation under the same moisture content, which were smallest in width and greatest in thickness, respectively. Moisture content had a significant impact in the compression crash of seed nucleus. The more moisture content was, the less clearance occurred to shell and nutlet, thus crashing easily. The nutlet deformation was expanded while the moisture content of nutlet was high, but the crushing force of nutlet was less. The studies indicate that the crushing force is (135.82±24.48)N when Ginkgo seed nucleus has moisture content of 27.66%. The intact nutlet will be obtained when the displacement of the compression head toward the nutlet is up to (2.4±0.5)mm while the allowable nutlet deformation of 2.23 mm is not exceeded.

Abstract: The effects of pulsed vacuum and ultrasound on mass transfer kinetics and quality of apples (Fuji) were studied. Apple cylinders (15 mm height, 15 mm diameter) immersed in a 60% high fructose corn syrup solution were subjected to shaking, pulsed-vacuum, or ultrasound treatment for 3 h. Weibull model adequately described kinetics of water loss and sugar gain in the osmodehydration process of apples under all tested conditions (R2 greater than or equal 0.96, eRMSE [less-than or equal to] 0.018 and eMRPE [less-than or equal to] 6.37%). Pulsed vacuum and ultrasound enhanced the rates of water loss and sugar gain, and the greatest water loss occurred under ultrasonic treatment, while the largest amount of solute uptake was achieved under pulsed vacuum condition. Pulsed vacuum and ultrasound also had a greater effectiveness in depressing aw and titratable acidity, and in improving L value of the osmodehydrated apples.

Abstract: The shelf life of fresh fruits and vegetables can be extended by a low oxygen and high carbon dioxide environment where respiration and gas exchange are restricted by the package material so that a relatively favorable micro-atmosphere is maintained for a longer duration. Modeling respiration rate of fresh fruits and vegetables is crucial to the design of a successful modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) system. Advances on the studies of respiration rate in MAP of fruits and vegetables in the last decades were reviewed, which included the major methods for measuring respiration rate, factors affecting the respiration rate as well as respiration models of fruits and vegetables. Finally, further research and development trends of respiration rate of fresh fruits and vegetables were also discussed.

Abstract: A variable rate fertilization controller based on CAN bus was presented. Firstly, variable rate fertilization control system and electro-hydraulic proportional valve-controlled motor rotation speed control system were introduced. Secondly, design of variable rate fertilization controller was described in detail including closed-loop PID control algorithm and communication protocol based on CAN bus. PID control parameters were determined through step response experiments and performance of closed-loop control system was analyzed. Variable rate fertilization control formula was deduced. Three kinds of fertilizers, urea ammonium phosphate and compound fertilizer, were used to test at different rotation speeds. Relationship equations between application rate of the three kinds of fertilizers and rotation speeds were calibrated. Finally, field experiments of fixed-rate and variable-rate fertilizations were conducted. Results show that the developed controller is suitable for variable rate application.

Abstract: According to the security problems of flexible pneumatic joints, such as gas leakage, pressure and other, the safety flexible joints driven by multi-gasbag were purposed, which can enhance the safety in actual use of flexible pneumatic joints. Subsequently, the static mathematical model of safety flexible joints was established. Finally, its corresponding control system was given and a single finger of the harvesting robot with two safety flexible joints was designed.

Abstract: For a comprehensive understanding of climate in a greenhouse with fan and pad system, an experiment measuring climate parameters was conducted on with two ventilation rates and with pad on and off. The transpiration rate of the plant inside greenhouse was supposed to be one of the most important factors on climate considerably influences latent heat exchange, and it was calculated and measured mainly in this work. The experimental data show that the transpiration rate has some correlation with ventilation and pad working condition. In the case of no pad working, the higher ventilation which promotes transpiration will induce a lower temperature inside greenhouse to outside and a lower leaf temperature than its ambient temperature. But with the pad working the leaf phenomena is just opposite. The vertical and horizontal distribution of temperature and specific humidity were also measured and analyzed.

Abstract: The modeling method of the temperature distribution in glass greenhouse with forced-air heater based on the CFD technique was proposed. The flow regime proved to be turbulent and it was modeled by using the standard k-ε turbulence model, and the non-gray DO model of radiation model was also applied. The numerical solution was made by applying a finite volume discretization code with the pressure implicit with splitting of operators (PISO) algorithm. The temperature data of the key position were collected in a three-span Venlo glasshouse. By using the root mean squares error (RMSE) algorithm, the error between simulated value in Fluent and measured value was simulated and analyzed. The results indicate that the CFD-based model can provide reliable estimation of the temperature distribution in the greenhouse during the forced-air heater working.

Abstract: In order to overcome the disadvantages of the traditional wired monitoring system in greenhouse, such as high cost, difficult movement, and difficult installation and maintenance, a wireless monitoring system in greenhouse was designed based on IEEE802.15.4. The self-organized star network was built by sensor (control) nodes and mobile sink nodes through dynamically constructing short-distance network. This design reduced the sensor (control) nodes energy consumption and prolonged the longevity of sensor network. The communication between monitoring center and sink nodes was accomplished by multiple steps. Information could be transmitted in time, safely and smoothly, which were guaranteed by the logical and effective time slot arrangement. The system, which has MSP430 and CC2420 hard-core parts, could intelligently monitor parameters in greenhouse wirelessly, such as temperature, humidity, light-intensity and so on.

Abstract: The design scheme, hardware and software of remote monitoring system for edible fungus industrial cultivation environment were comprehensively analyzed. Abstract: Under the integration optimization object, the beam shape and controller parameters were obtained by using an adaptive iterative algorithm with the accommodation of various geometrical constraints to consider the coupling between the controller and the mechanical structure of a flexible manipulator concurrently. The global optimization method was designed to combine the physical construction design with control algorithm by using the structure optimization as the outer-loop and the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control as inner-loop. The simulation work of a single link flexible beam was done. The simulation results showed that the integration method to consider the control law and the structure optimization synthetically is effective and feasible.

Abstract: A center differential evolution algorithm with adaptive crossover factor for constrained optimization modified differential evolution algorithm (ACFCDE) was proposed to solve constraint optimization problems. The algorithm used three simple selection criteria based on feasibility to guide the search in the feasible region. The proposed algorithm did not adopt the penalty function method, in contrast to the penalty function method, the constraint-handing technique of this algorithm was very simple, it did not require additional parameters. In addition, the center point of the population was incorporated into the DE algorithm, which only participated in the competition of the best point with the other individuals of the population, did not in any differential evolutions. And the crossover factor of DE algorithm dynamically and linearly was modified. As these measures were adopted, the stability, robustness and global searching performance of DE algorithm have been improved greatly. Results of simulations and comparisons with the other algorithms based on four testing functions demonstrated the effectiveness, efficiency and robustness of the proposed ACFCDE.

Abstract: An artificial fish swarm algorithm was proposed based on neighborhood orthogonal crossover operator by introducing neighborhood orthogonal crossover operator into the basic artificial fish swarm algorithm. The method of dynamic adjustment of the vision and step of artificial fish to improve the abilities of searching the global and local extremum has been adopted by the algorithm. It made orthogonal crossover operation between the local extremum of artificial fish swarm and the artificial fish swarm itself to produce a few representative optimal individuals which utilized not only its own useful information but also the optimal information of local extremum to improve the fast convergence and the abilities of searching the global extremum. The test of benchmark functions showed that the algorithm improved the performance effectively.

Abstract: The design method of torque converter blade based on quadratic function distribution of momentum was put forward. The torque converters have been designed by using both new and traditional methods. The 3D model of torque converter was established and the flow section area was calculated. Compared with the traditional method, not only the blade profile of new method was more reasonable under equal blade thickening, but also the change of flow section area was more gently. The flow field of torque converters has been numerical simulated by CFD software. Based on the flow numerical solution, the performances of torque converters designed by new and traditional methods have been predicted. The comparison and analysis of the results have been carried out.

Abstract: A general method for robust design was presented based on sensitivity, and two models were established for robust optimization design of mechanical parts based on adjunctive function of sensibility of the high dimension multi-objective or the high dimension multi-objective. Constraint functions of the design parameters and the solutions were founded with absolute degree of grey incidence. Then the robust optimization design was realized with the software of optimization toolbox and symbolic toolbox of Matlab7.4. The design example showed that the model is practical and effective.

Abstract: The study on detecting the trajectory of planar controllable linkage mechanism based on computer vision was presented. Firstly, a visual detection system with camera as the basic part was formed, and the problem of data lost in the process of image acquiring has been solved. The sequence image of object was acquired by the calibrated camera system, and the trajectory of object was gained by the algorithms of image processing, object detection and location. The visual detection method for planar controllable mechanism has been realized, and the result is satisfactory.

Abstract: After analyzing the deficiency of traditional exponential smoothing prediction model, a novel prediction model with the concepts of dynamic smoothing parameter and initial value was proposed and applied to prediction compensation-control in small-batch production. In the presented model, with an optimal algorithm based on steepest-descent, the dynamic smoothing parameter and initial value were adjusted with new sample of the time-series automatically. Moreover, the presented model was used as the key technology of quality predicting in machining plungers of oil pump mouth, the practical results showed that compared with auto-regressive (AR), gray and traditional exponential smoothing model, the presented one is higher in precision and better in adaptation.

Abstract: The J-integral moving theory with multiple loading and shaft straightening stroke increasing algorithm with single-edged crack were presented according to the elastic-plastic fracture mechanic theory and experiments analysis. During multi-step straightening, with the assumption of independent multiple loading, J-integral including two items of Je and Jp, and the crack blunting would promote the JIC increasing, the J-integral could be considered to move up slowly. Based on this view, the multi-step straightening stroke algorithm was built up to the shaft with single-edged crack. The straightening experiment resulted to the shaft with 3 mm depth single-edged crack could prove the JIC moving phenomenon, and after 4 steps straightening to the experimented shaft, the initial 0.13 mm bend value could be decreased to 0.01 mm, while crack mouth opening displacement could be limited to 0.008 mm.

Abstract: Wavelet neural network (WNN) is used widely in tool wear detection, but the curse of dimensionality and shortage in the responding speed and learning ability is brought about by the traditional models. An improved WNN algorithm which combined with modified particle swarm optimization (PSO) was presented to overcome the problems. Based on the cutting power signal, the method has been used to estimate the tool wear. The Daubechies-wavelet was used to decompose the signals into approximation and details. The energy and square-error of the signals in the detail levels was utilized as characters which indicated tool wear, the characters were input to the trained WNN to estimate the tool wear. Compared with BP neural network, conventional WNN and genetic algorithm-based WNN, a simpler structure and faster converge WNN was obtained by the new algorithm, and the accuracy for estimate tool wear has been tested by simulation and experiments.

Abstract:In view of vibration and loud noise that existed in the course of applying the current ring-reducer, a new type ring-reducer was firstly proposed, which consisted of two-stage transmission, one involute transmission and a planetary transmission of N-type with small tooth number difference. The new type reducer did not only reserve the advantages of the current ring-reducer, but also had the characteristics of smaller volume, bigger transmission ratio and higher stiffness. The principle and structural style of the new reducer have been analyzed, and the power flow has been studied. The relation of angular velocity and the balance equation of torque was deduced, and the transmission efficiency of the new reducer was calculated.

Abstract:The limiting wear tensibility rate greatly influences the operational performance of chains. It is an important measure to establish the assessment criterion to ensure the reliable operation of mechanical products. Based on the theories of statistics, an assessment method of chain wear-resistant reliability was proposed, which could easily adjust the sampling scheme according to the types of chain transmission, so as to satisfy the needs of assessing the reliability of different mechanical products. The research shows that by using the reliability based on operational life or limiting wear tensibility rate as assessment index, assessing cost is not changed, and more information on reliability is obtained.
